Hopes and Dreams of 2026-2027

The 2026-2027 Direct Donation Campaign is strictly collecting donations from members of the community to help assist in fulfilling hopes and dreams through projects at Our Community School this year.

We would love to fund several projects at Our Community School and all of it benefits your children. We have projects connected to classroom improvements with white boards, continued funding of our enrichment specials like PE, Art and Computers. Our overnight field trips in Middle School to support and extend learning in the area of science. We would love to purchase a GaGa Ball Court for the playground during recess and a Volleyball net for Intermural Sports in the Middle School. What are you able to donate to help make a difference for all of the students in a variety of ways?

In our Annual Giving Campaign we aim to continue to fund the cost of Interactive White Boards in the Classrooms and Library. We hope this project can be completely funded by November, so the Boards can be installed over winter break. During our Gala last March we received donations to cover the cost of approxiamtely one board. This means we have approxiamtely 18 more Interactive Boards to purchase to have this project funded. This project is estimated at $60,000.00

Additionally, the Direct Donation campaign helps fund programs like Art Trek ($49,000) & ComputerWise Kids ($51,000). Are these programs you love to have at Our Community School? If so, please help them to remain an active part of our school community through your donations. We have wonderful hopes and dreams to keep our students actively engaged and enriched here at Our Community School, but we can not do it without your support and help. These two programs combined cost $100,000.

We are pleased to announce that we have secured three wonderful overnight field trips that enhance science education in the middle school this year. However, these trips are only possible with the support of donations. Students in sixth grade will attend Pali in Running Springs, Seventh Grade Students will attend Catalina Island Marine Institute in February and Eighth Grade Students will attend AstroCamp in Idylwild. These three field trips cost $62,900.00

This year we are expanding our opportunities in the Middle School by partnering with the David Labkovski project and while part of this project is funded through the Art and Music grant, we would love to make this wonderful partnership a permanent part of our 8th grade curriculum. We can guarantee this with support and donations made to our Direct Donation Campaign. This project costs $8500.00

Finally, we would love to purchase a Gaga Ball court for the playground and a new volleyball net for our Intermural Sports teams. However, we need the support from the community and the direct donation campaign to make this happen. This project costs about $9,000.

If you are not able to make a donation, can you assist by donating your time in planning and soliciting donations for our annual auction?

To meet this goal we are asking for families to consider donating $566.00 per student. This breaks down to about $3.20 a day.

The generous donations from friends and families help keep Our Community School Exceptional.
